ISLAMABAD: Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy Natalie A. Baker said American engagement with Pakistan’s agriculture sector extends well beyond commercial transactions, as the two countries prepare for a major trade mission this October.
Baker said the United States and Pakistan are partnering to modernize agriculture through American innovation, describing the effort as part of continued bilateral cooperation.
“When American companies bring innovative technologies to new markets, they do more than sell products. They share knowledge, train local partners, create lasting business relationships, and contribute to sustainable economic growth,” Baker said in a statement shared on social media platform X.
The Chargé d’Affaires said Washington and Islamabad look forward to building on these ties during the U.S. Agricultural Technologies Trade Mission to Pakistan, scheduled for October.
The mission is expected to bring American agri-tech companies into direct engagement with Pakistani stakeholders, part of a broader effort to deepen economic and technical cooperation between the two countries.
The initiative comes amid continued U.S.-Pakistan engagement across trade and economic sectors, with agriculture emerging as a key area of bilateral interest.
