ISLAMABAD: UNDP Resident Representative Samuel Rizk met with Ambassador of Italy Ugo Ciarlatani and Paolo Gallizioli, Head of the Islamabad Office of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), to discuss scaling scientific and innovation-driven solutions for Pakistan’s development challenges.
The discussion centred on strengthening climate resilience, water security and sustainable, resilient development through science and technology-based interventions.
Both sides agreed to deepen the UNDP-Italy partnership, aiming to convert shared expertise and innovation into practical solutions aligned with Pakistan’s development priorities.
The meeting reflects growing international engagement in Pakistan’s climate and development sector, as the country continues to seek innovative, technology-driven approaches to address pressing challenges in water resources and climate adaptation.
