GAZA UNDER SIEGE FOR OVER 200 DAYS: MALAYSIAN AND INDONESIAN YOUTH UNITE TO CRITICIZE ISRAEL, DEMAND HUMANITARIAN ACTION.

For the past 200 days, relentless terrorist attacks have resulted in countless humanitarian tragedies in Gaza. This tragedy is not just about numbers but about innocent lives, including children and women, who have died and suffered greatly.
More than 34,000 lives have been lost, with the majority being children and women, innocent souls subjected to unimaginable violence.

Over 77,000 people have been severely injured, with no access to adequate medical care, making them vulnerable to life-threatening infections and complications.
The violence of the Israeli regime has also orphaned more than 17,000 children, deprived of the love and protection of their parents, with over 2 million people displaced from their homes and villages, turning them into refugees seeking safety far from their blood-soaked homeland.

A total of 75,000 tons of bombs have been dropped, spreading even wider destruction and death.
Therefore, the Malaysian Youth Council along with the regional organization, the National Youth Committee of Indonesia, strongly condemn these acts of violence and call on the international community to unite to stop the violence and support humanitarian relief efforts.

There is no excuse for committing atrocities that destroy lives and rob future generations of their future.
The importance of justice and representation is paramount in ensuring that the voices of the oppressed are heard and their rights protected. Full membership of Palestine in the United Nations is crucial as it signifies global recognition of their sovereignty and right to self-determination. It also allows Palestine to actively participate in international forums where decisions affecting their future are made. We urge the relevant intergovernmental bodies, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Non-Aligned Movement, to support Palestine’s full membership in the UN, as it is a step towards achieving a just and lasting solution to the occupation.

Last but not least, we also urge unity among all Palestinians from all beliefs and all factions, to achieve unity, better resolve, and lasting peace. We stand firmly with the victims, demanding justice and protection of human rights that cannot be compromised. We also call on stakeholders to take immediate steps to assist those affected, ensuring adequate medical care and protection for those forced to flee violence. It is time to act, not just talk.

This joint statement issued by M. Izzat Afifi bin Abd Hamid President Malaysian Youth Council and Mr. Tantan Taufiq Lubis President, National Youth Committee of Indonesia – DPP KNPI
