During the 44-day Patriotic War, Armenia continued to kill civilians and children in Azerbaijan. With this aggressive policy and anti-humanist actions, Armenia once again proved that it disregards the norms of international law. Armenia, which quickly retreated in the face of the crushing retaliatory strikes of the courageous Azerbaijani army, grossly violated the 1949 Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, as well as the decisions and resolutions of the UN Security Council. Armenia deliberately targeted the peaceful population of Azerbaijan and intensively fired at Azerbaijani cities located far from the region where military operations were conducted.
Massacres were carried out against Azerbaijanis by Armenians from time to time. In particular, in 1918, a genocide was committed against our Armenian Dashnak people in several regions of Azerbaijan, mainly in Baku. Armenian armed gangs brutally chopped up Azerbaijanis, burned them in bonfires, gouged out their eyes, beheaded them, tied hot samovar to their backs, ripped open pregnant women’s bellies and speared babies. According to official sources, as a result of this genocide, about 12 thousand Azerbaijanis were killed and tens of thousands of people went missing. In the second half of the 80s of the last century, aggressive Armenian nationalists made groundless territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
By creating the so-called Karabakh problem, Armenians committed massive massacres against Azerbaijanis and destroyed our cities and villages, material and cultural monuments. The atrocities committed in Bashlibel, Agdaban and Baganis-Ayrim villages show the true face of Armenian fascism. Among the massacres committed against peaceful Azerbaijanis, the Khojaly massacre stands out for its special cruelty. At the same time, until 1994, the separatist regime in the occupied territories committed 373 terrorist attacks resulting in numerous casualties. As a result of the aggressive war, 20,000 of our compatriots were martyred, more than 50,000 of our citizens were injured, thousands of settlements were destroyed, and more than one million of our compatriots became refugees and internally displaced persons. Even during the armistice period, the facts of Armenians killing the civilian population in Azerbaijan, including children, were recorded.

All this happened under the direct instructions of the military and political leadership of the aggressor Armenia, which continues to commit acts of terrorism against the civilian population. According to the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as a result of the strikes carried out by the Armenian armed forces between September 27, 2020 and November 10, 2020, about 30,000 shells and 227 rockets were fired into the regions and cities inhabited by Azerbaijani civilians. It was noted that 93 people, including 12 minors and 27 women, were killed, and 407 people, including 50 minors and 101 women, received various degrees of physical injuries as a result of the firing of the civilian population by the armed units of the enemy side.
As if this is a mistake, the Armenian lobby always wants to justify themselves in the world as an oppressed nation. After the provocations of Armenia on the border with Azerbaijan on September 13, the world Armenian lobby has intensified its anti-Azerbaijani activities. As always, the Armenian lobby spreading disinformation about Azerbaijan, under the leadership of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), is trying to portray Azerbaijan as a modest country in the international world.
On September 13, the Armenian lobby quickly leaked disinformation to the well-known media outlets of the world. At the same time, the Armenian lobby is actively conducting these smear campaigns on social networks. Recently, Armenians have been making fake videos of the battle scenes of Azerbaijani soldiers and making anti-propaganda against our country. Allegedly, Azerbaijani soldiers are shooting at Armenian prisoners. It is impossible to open mass fire even from close range. Otherwise, the bullet may bounce back and hit the soldiers themselves.
This is one of the main proofs that the video is fake. Armenians cannot deceive the world population with such fake videos. Until now, hundreds of videos have been shot by themselves showing Armenian atrocities. The Armenian militants have already gone wild in the publication that they don’t hesitate to insult even the corpses and share it by making a video. This is against all international conventions and rules of war. It is a gross violation of the principles of humanity. Armenians cannot hide their vandalism no matter how hard they try. The international community should see Armenian lies and vandalism and express its protest.
