Islamabad: Pakistan hosted a large-scale event dedicated to the development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in the fields of education, culture and tourism, as well as to the celebration of 30th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan and organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Pakistan with the support of the Department of National Heritage and Culture of the Government of Pakistan.
The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on political, public affairs, national heritage and culture H.E. Engineer Amir Muqam, representatives of travel companies, national dress designers and artists invited from the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives of the educational, cultural and tourism sectors of the host country.
Among the main goals were the promotion of educational programs of the Kyrgyz Republic among the community of the host country, strengthening cultural ties between the two countries, as well as demonstrating the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic. In this regard, the participants were shown elements of the culture and life of the Kyrgyz Republic, national clothes, as well as presentations of tourism opportunities.
As part of this event, a performance by artists from the Kyrgyz Republic was organized to promote the Kyrgyz culture.
In his concluding speech, H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev emphasized the importance of developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, holding days of culture in the capitals of the two countries and an event in honor of the 95th anniversary of the People’s Writer of the Kyrgyz Republic Ch. Aitmatov. He called on representatives of the host country to pay close attention to the opportunities for obtaining education in the Kyrgyz Republic, taking into consideration the high level and quality of Kyrgyz higher educational institutions.
In addition, he announced plans for further joint events with the Pakistani side in order to promote culture and tourism.
Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Engineer Amir Muqam confirmed the importance of such events for strengthening cultural, historical and religious ties between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
