Karachi: Danish Ambassador Jakob Linulf along with high-level Delegation from Danish Energy Agency, headed by Mr. Ulrik Everbusch visited Karachi to explore green opportunities around the energy sector
During the visit, the Danish delegation visited the Amreli steel Dhabeji plant to inspect the site and discussed the process of energy consumption and areas of opportunity for energy-efficient solutions in the steel industry.
Amreli steels is Pakistan’s largest-selling brand of steel rebars operating steel billets and rebar manufacturing facilities that are the largest in the country in terms of capacity and output.
The team then visited the JCM wind farm in Jhimpir, Sindh corridor to explore the opportunities and monitor the progress of the wind project. JCM is the first Wind Park and significant renewable energy producer in Pakistan with the Danish Investment Fund for developing countries (IFU) as an equity partner in the projects.
